5. Lift slowly and steadily. To turn, shift your feet and avoid twisting your back.
6. When lifting, don’t jolt.
7. Don’t bend over to lift an object.
1. Sleep on a solid, comfortable surface.
2. Firm up a sagging bed, using slats or plywood to brace the mattress and the base.
3. Alternatively, lay your mattress on the floor, which is a quick but inconvenient solution.
4. Use a pillow to help you sleep better at night.
5. Unless so advised by a doctor, do not sleep on your stomach.
1. For extended-standing periods, put one leg up on a stool.
2. Adjust work heights.
3. Avoid partially bent positions
Coughing & Sneezing
While coughing or sneezing, bend backward to enhance the curvature of your back.
Driving a Car
1. It is preferable to be driven than to drive.
2. To get to the steering wheel, slide the seat forward. To maintain the natural contours of your back, your seats must be near enough to the steering wheel.
3. Keep your hips the same level as the knees, sit on a pillow if need be.
